The EU Commission has released much awaited draft guidance on high risk AI systems under the EU AI Act.
The Guidance is split into three parts:
1. General principles
2. AI systems embedded in products (e.g. toys, machinery, medical devices etc.)
3. Standalone AI systems
The guidance is designed to help organisations assess whether their system is high risk or not and contains a list of (non exhaustive) examples to assist with this as well as elaborating on concepts mentioned in the legislation.
This is in depth guidance and essential reading for any organisation who has been considering whether they are providing/deploying high risk AI.
