EDPB publishes draft DPIA template

The EDPB has issued a proposed DPIA template along with an explainer document for public consultation.

The EDPB states that its template “is one way to record the most important results [of the risk analysis], a minimum amount of information that should always be documented.”

In addition to a walk through of all the sections of the DPIA, Annex A to the explainer contains links to guidelines from different jurisdictions on how to conduct DPIAs.

If you want to have your say, you can respond to the public consultation until 9 June 2026. You can find the draft DPIA here.

If you would like some help putting together a practical approach to DPIAs and privacy assessments in your organisation, please get in touch by emailing hello@hellodpo.com and the team will be happy to help.
