NCSC issues guidance on protection against ransomware and supply chain cyber risks

The NCSC has produced guidance on a couple of “hot” cyber topics.

The guidance on ransomware gives an overview of what ransomware is, how it works, whether a ransom should be paid, how to prevent and protect against, monitor and detect ransomware as well as how to respond if you find yourself a victim.

The guidance on supply chain risks comprises a suite of resources, including:

  • an introduction to supply chain security risk, which covers the basics for those new to the area, such as the principles of supply chain security, examples and how to assess security.
  • supply chain guidance, a more advanced guide which covers similar themes but in more depth.
  • supply chain learning modules which complement the guidance.

The new sets of guidance can be found here and here.
